Matheera khan a sizzling host from pakistan makes her bollywood debut opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh in an upcoming film.

Matheera the hot damsel from Pakistan is the latest Bollywood import from across the border. Matheera who is currently resided in Mumbai is confident of bagging a role in Prerna Wadhawan’s debut movie opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh. 

The Paris Hilton of Pakistan says that she is busy discussing her role with the movie unit and will continue to stay in the city till everything gets finalised. Matheera an ardent fan of Madhuri Dixit says she is not a stranger before camera and hopes to make it big in B-town.

When asked about the Pakistani inflow of artists to Bollywood she is quick to reply ‘Talent comes from everywhere, not only from Pak’

Matheera is the first female host to present a late night TV show in pakistan. She was also rumoured to be a part of Reality Show Big Boss-6.

Matheera is also not keen over following the footsteps of her fellow actress from Pakistan Veena Malik. She says everyone has their own ideas and that the difference between being glamour and vulgar is a very thin line.

Sridevi’s comeback after 15 years is rocking with a role that suits her age and her experience. She is completely in character, knowing just when to hold back and when to emote. English Vinglish is worthy a comeback for this diva.

Story:

English Vinglish is all about Shashi and her quest to learn English. Shashi is a housewife  with two kids who lives in Pune with her family. Though Shashi is a perfect home maker, she is often criticised by her husband and kids for not knowing English. Shashi’s niece understands her pain and she tells her to learn English to get the respect of the family. Shashi takes the challenge to learn the language and joins an English speaking class. Shashi’s perseverance and determination to learn a new language makes the most interesting part of the movie. The movie shows the craze of non native speakers of English  over the language which creates many interesting situations.

Performance:

Adil Hussain who played Sridevi’s husband doesn’t overwhelm and suits the role perfectly. French actor Mehdi Nebbou will win your heart with his impressive performance. Even when he’s speaking in French, his facial expressions says it all and that is the hallmark of a fine actor.

Amitabh Bachchan’s cameo is a real surprise and a total delight to watch though his role is very brief. Navika Kotia who plays the role of Sridevi’s daughter is impressive but Shivansh Kotia who enacts Sridevi’s son steals the show with his adorable performance.

English Vinglish was premiered at the 2012 Toronto Film Festival, where Sridevi’s performance drew a standing ovation and critical acclaim. And now we know why! The story of English Vinglish is emotional, sweet and funny. It’s a truly delightful film, with Sridevi stealing the show, as expected!

Gauri Shinde shines in her debut movie delivering a neat and fresh concept. With a diploma in filmmaking from the New York Film Academy Gauri has displayed fine control over film making right from scripting to direction. Her narrative is crisp and real and unlike the cliches we are accustomed in regular movies.

Music is deep and soulful, thanks to composer Amit Trivedi. “Manhatten” and “English Vinglish” are pleasing numbers and Kudos to lyricist Swanand Kirkire for his meaningful lines.

Verdict:

English Vinglish is definitely a better comeback movie for Sridevi when compared to Madhuri Dixit’s Aaja Nachle or Karisma Kapoor’s Dangerous Ishkq.

English Vinglish will amuse you with it’s heartrending and insightful story with an inspiring message. This beautifully crafted family entertainer is a must watch for every parent and child. Strongly Recommended -
